The Chronicles of a Raving Lunatic

I've been pretty bad about LJ. Partially because of my Star Trek Marathon and partially because my internet cable got pulled apart (again) the other day and didn't get fixed until last night.

Also, Got a call the day before yesterday from my lawyer, saying that because of so many judges quitting (down to 2 out of 9), my case is being transferred to the Baltimore office and will have to be rescheduled, hopefully for September or October. I hope this doesn't mean I have to actually travel to Baltimore. I guess I'll find out at my pre-hearing conference.

There were a bunch of storms last night, so I unplugged the comp just to be safe.  When I plugged it back in and tried to turn it back on, I discovered that my power supply had died.  Luckily, (my brother) Paul had an extra power supply lying around in his desktop. He switched them out for me, but then my keyboard wouldn't work.  I am currently typing this in charmap. It is a pain in the butt.  I'm going to have him double check the internal connections tomorrow, and hopefully I won't need a new keyboard. Because I be po.

It's been 2 months since my last real update and a month since the last meme, so I should really get on this. I actually meant to update about a month ago, but I just kept putting it off.

Comp officially died yesterday. I was just starting to watch 30 Rock and it turned off. Dad's pretty sure some of the lemonade got inside and fried the board. And he would know fried motherboards. Whatever. I didn't have anything on it.

Brother is letting me use his new comp while he's working OT today.

Ugh. Also, I have had this terrible bout of insomnia lately. I haven't been able to get to sleep until about 7 am. I really need to fall asleep sooner. Getting between 3 and 5 hours a night only is killing me. And my brain is going 8 zillion miles a minute. I need it to calm down a tiny bit. I'm going to try a sleeping pill tonight, as much as I hate to, and see if that helps. We'll see.

My stupid mouse keeps going out. I have a roller mouse, but for the last week or so the up/down roller has been going out after about an hour or so. SOmetimes longer, sometimes much shorter. It's extremely frustrating. When it happens I can't even log out of anything and shut off the computer, I have to just shut it off on the front of the computer. After it sits for a few hours I can turn it back on and the mouse works for a little while again. I tore it apart (afraid it was the actual comp, but I figured out that it was, in fact, the mouse. I don't know how many of you have seen the inside of a mouse, but there's a little grove in the board for the rollers. At the end of the rollers is a slotted wheel looking thing. on either side are two pieces coming up sending something between the two. This senses when the wheel moves and which direction. That's what keeps going out. Since I can't change it, my only choice is to get a new mouse. Since I don't have the money, I have to wait until my brother can get one for me. Hopefully he can afford it next payday. So, until at least next week, I probably won't be around much. I'll try to be on everyday, but I can't guarantee where or for how long. If I don't post anywhere for a week or so, that's why.

Ever since Monday, the stupid cable internet has been off all day and it will come on about 9pm and stay on a little bit then go out again. Apperently, brother said it came on last night about 3am. But i wa in bed already, so...

Until this thing is working like normal again, I'm not sure how often I'll be on.

It's really been 3 weeks? EEP! It's taken me the last couple days to catch up. I skimmed over all/most of the posts, but I didn't really get to read many of them all the way through.

Finally got my comp hooked up, so I'll be able to get on more often now. Brother went and picked up a monitor from the house. Instead of the monitor that came with this comp he grabbed the 19" that dad had sitting on the porch. Luckily it works. OMG! Pics, especially Hi-res, look AWESOME on here! And I can read the text from practically halfway acros the room. And that's with the type set normal. I just wish it was a flat screen b/c it's set up in the living room on the coffee table and now I won't be able to watch TV while I'm laying down to go to sleep. Boo. :(

So, earlier, Robbie accidentally spilled water on the keyboard of brother's 'community' laptop. It is currently drying out. Hopefully it will work, tomorrow or in the next couple days. Until, and unless, it starts working again, I may not really be on much, and if I get to use brother's 'new' laptop, I may not post much, as it has a tendency to type extra letters all on its own and it is a royal. pain in the rear end to erase all the extras before entering any text you type. SXee how bazdc it isx? You have no idea how hard it is to log in to anything.

Finally home.

Spent Friday and Saturday at Corie's. She needed me to babysit on Saturday while she went to her youngest sister's graduation party, so I just spent the night Friday night. Saturday morning there was a "faith" fair in the courtyard of their apartment somplex, so we took the kids outside. They had some animals (2 miniature horses, 2 donkeys, 2 baby goats, a giant rabbit, a pot-bellied pig, and a llama), balloons, free cotton candy, water and popcorn, and these little puppet-show things. The boys absolutely LOVED the animals. Robbie spent the entire time we were out there trying to touch the llama, but he wouldn't have it. I don't think he liked all the little kids running around him and he certainly didn't like the balloons they had.
When Corie left and I was trying to get the boys' lunch ready, they all snuck back outside. Do you have any idea how annoying it is to run down 3 little kids and corale them back inside when they REALLY don't want to be there? When they went out, Robbie had his and Ryan's balloons and let them go. Ryan was so pitiful sounding the rest of the day asking in a sad voice where his balloon was. Robbie was just a brat the rest of the day. Connor too, but not as much. Left there and came home Sunday morning.

I've just been sitting around the house since then. I'm so glad that it cooled down a little and it's a LOT less humid than this time last week. Expecially since Clayton came and took his air conditioner. I went into my room yesterday afternoon to take a nap and it was missing and the window was closed. Oh well. I didn't have it plugged in anyway, so no big loss.

I guess Paul's car is more broken than he thought, so he'll probably be getting a new one sooner than expected. Luckily he didn'tget laid off this summer he just got transfered to his company's new plant. Hopefully when he does get a new car, he'll let me use it to go to Findlay. At least until I can get a job and get something to drive.

I've been feeling so...blah and depressed since I got home yesterday. Like, it feels like I've been home for 3 or 4 days. And it's barely been one and a half. I think I'm going into depressed mode again.

Also, if I don't show up anywhere for a few days at a time for a while, it's because the comp is acting up again. Dad needs to get compatible parts so that it will quit. One of these days.

Got my Yaoi from Paul. It's awesome.

If only I could read Japanese.

It's LOTR, based on the EE DVDs.  It's called Vardarianna 3.  It starts when they get to Lothlorien.  Legolas and Haldir are talking at the begining.  Then they start gettin it on.  Meanwhile Aragorn and Boramir are talking by the tree.  Some flasbacks of Arwen and Aragorn.  Legolas and Boramir meet up and kiss.  Next thing you know, Boramir has just been found by Aragorn and Legolas after being hit by the arrows.  Has his little dying scene.  And it ends with Legolas talking as Boramir is sent over the waterfall.

At least, that's what I get from the pictures without being able to understand a single word of it.

And I know I said that I'd get a picture of the cover (Which brother was wrong about.  It's Boramir, Legolas and Haldir) and maybe some  bits of the inside, but the artist asked in the book and on his (?) website that it not be reproduced and placed on any websites.  And simply because of the nature of Doujinshi, I feel compelled to respect those wishes.  But if you really want a look, I can always email you a pic or two if you want.  Just ask.

Computer update:  Seems that since Dad's memory went bad, Clayton replaced it with one he had.  It's apparently (do I EVER spell that right?  How IS it spelled?) not the right size for the board.  That's the reason for the freezing and need to restart.  Oh.  And since we got it back, the mouse has decided not to work properly.  Sometimes the left-click button doesn't work.  It's really annoying.

Not much else going on.  I have a headache.  kinda.  It was worse yesterday.  I think it was mostly from a lack of sleep Thursday night.  I didn't sleep at all that night.  My sinuses are a little better.  Still draining and causing me to cough occasionally, but I can usually breathe fine.

And is it EVER going to warm up again?  It's the middle of May for Christ's sake!  This 50-something, cloudy, rainy weather is going to be the death of me!  Where's that unseasonable warmth Al Gore was talking about on SNL tonight?  Unseasonable warmth?  HA!  Maybe for the lucky schmucks in NYC, but certainly not around here!  Back me up on this, Midwesterners that are freezing your patooties off lately.  I should NOT be wearing sweat pants and still have goose bumps in the middle of the day at this time of the year.
