Also, Got a call the day before yesterday from my lawyer, saying that because of so many judges quitting (down to 2 out of 9), my case is being transferred to the Baltimore office and will have to be rescheduled, hopefully for September or October. I hope this doesn't mean I have to actually travel to Baltimore. I guess I'll find out at my pre-hearing conference.

GAH! *tears hair out*
May. 27th, 2011 01:57 am\o/ YAY! \o/
May. 17th, 2011 09:01 pmI should update...
Nov. 20th, 2010 02:54 am( cut for the sake of your f-lists. )
And that's all I can think of for now.
Update time
Aug. 11th, 2010 11:02 pmAlso, I'm a nerd and miss writing essays for English class, so I've decided to write some. I'll post them over at my writing journal when they're done. Started the first one today. Gonna work on it more in a little bit. Hopefully I'll be able to finish it tonight or tomorrow.
The night before last, brother's computer got some malware somehow. Took forever to get it off. It wouldn't run right until it was off. In fact, it was running the comp extra hard so it kept overheating and shutting down. He finally got it off last night and it's been fine all day.
Speaking of which, I need to get off here so he can get on when he gets home.
Also, I have no idea when he's paying my journal. He was supposed to do it at the end of last month, but didn't. Whatever. He'll do it when he does it.
Comp update and a couple quizzes.
May. 16th, 2009 04:36 pmBrother is letting me use his new comp while he's working OT today.
Ugh. Also, I have had this terrible bout of insomnia lately. I haven't been able to get to sleep until about 7 am. I really need to fall asleep sooner. Getting between 3 and 5 hours a night only is killing me. And my brain is going 8 zillion miles a minute. I need it to calm down a tiny bit. I'm going to try a sleeping pill tonight, as much as I hate to, and see if that helps. We'll see.
( Onto the quizzes )
Anyone want a 4-year old?
May. 14th, 2009 08:41 pmlemonade into an empty "Belly Washers" bottle and proceeded to get some on and in the laptop. It was only a little damp, so I popped out the battery and flipped it upside-down to dry out. It was working by this afternoon. Only problem is that the keyboard is still a bit damp and isn't working right. I'm typing this in charmap right now. Yeah. It's kind of a pain in my butt. It did this once before and fixed itself, so...
GUUUUU-UUURRR!!!
Jul. 11th, 2008 11:46 pmI hate cable internet!
Jun. 25th, 2008 11:38 amEveryone's sick of it, so he called the cable company and they sent someone yesterday. The guy tested the lines and it seems there are some problems in the lines from the street to the box and the main line in the house. Unfortunately the main line runs through the landlords part of the basement and no one has been home lately. They had him scheduled for tomorrow to fix the lines, but if he can't talk to the landlord he can't get it fixed. Besides, since we're out of here and at the house in about a month, it hardly seems worth all the trouble to get it fixed. As long as the TV works and the phone/internet works sometimes, I think we can deal.
So, I guess this is just a heads-up. I'll be around sometimes, but I may not be able to post or comment much for the next month.
And now, I'm off the make some peanut butter cup brownies. yum!
Really? REALLY??
Jun. 12th, 2008 11:59 pmUntil this thing is working like normal again, I'm not sure how often I'll be on.
*headdesk*
Jun. 5th, 2008 05:08 pmEarlier, I was trying to take off a Windows Component and accidentally took off everything EXCEPT what I wanted to take off. I got most of it to re-install on it's own, but here were a few things I needed to use the Windows disc for. Luckily my brother has the same copy of Windows, so after some fidgeting, I got back the other stuff I was missing. I finally got off the ONE component I wanted off in the first place.
I'm back, back in the LJ Groove
May. 29th, 2008 02:45 pmFinally got my comp hooked up, so I'll be able to get on more often now. Brother went and picked up a monitor from the house. Instead of the monitor that came with this comp he grabbed the 19" that dad had sitting on the porch. Luckily it works. OMG! Pics, especially Hi-res, look AWESOME on here! And I can read the text from practically halfway acros the room. And that's with the type set normal. I just wish it was a flat screen b/c it's set up in the living room on the coffee table and now I won't be able to watch TV while I'm laying down to go to sleep. Boo. :(
( More updates under the cut. )
That's about all I can think of right now. Maybe I'll think of something later.
Well now...
Mar. 2nd, 2008 01:29 am(no subject)
Jun. 5th, 2006 06:42 pmSpent Friday and Saturday at Corie's. She needed me to babysit on Saturday while she went to her youngest sister's graduation party, so I just spent the night Friday night. Saturday morning there was a "faith" fair in the courtyard of their apartment somplex, so we took the kids outside. They had some animals (2 miniature horses, 2 donkeys, 2 baby goats, a giant rabbit, a pot-bellied pig, and a llama), balloons, free cotton candy, water and popcorn, and these little puppet-show things. The boys absolutely LOVED the animals. Robbie spent the entire time we were out there trying to touch the llama, but he wouldn't have it. I don't think he liked all the little kids running around him and he certainly didn't like the balloons they had.
When Corie left and I was trying to get the boys' lunch ready, they all snuck back outside. Do you have any idea how annoying it is to run down 3 little kids and corale them back inside when they REALLY don't want to be there? When they went out, Robbie had his and Ryan's balloons and let them go. Ryan was so pitiful sounding the rest of the day asking in a sad voice where his balloon was. Robbie was just a brat the rest of the day. Connor too, but not as much. Left there and came home Sunday morning.
I've just been sitting around the house since then. I'm so glad that it cooled down a little and it's a LOT less humid than this time last week. Expecially since Clayton came and took his air conditioner. I went into my room yesterday afternoon to take a nap and it was missing and the window was closed. Oh well. I didn't have it plugged in anyway, so no big loss.
I guess Paul's car is more broken than he thought, so he'll probably be getting a new one sooner than expected. Luckily he didn'tget laid off this summer he just got transfered to his company's new plant. Hopefully when he does get a new car, he'll let me use it to go to Findlay. At least until I can get a job and get something to drive.
I've been feeling so...blah and depressed since I got home yesterday. Like, it feels like I've been home for 3 or 4 days. And it's barely been one and a half. I think I'm going into depressed mode again.
Also, if I don't show up anywhere for a few days at a time for a while, it's because the comp is acting up again. Dad needs to get compatible parts so that it will quit. One of these days.
( until next time... )
Randomness
May. 24th, 2006 05:38 pm· Got one of the movies I ordered, Anchors Aweigh, in the mail today. Should get On The Town tomorrow or Friday. Yes, I'm on a Gene Kelly kick again.
· Cute little joke my brother Paul told me last night that I absolutely loved.
Why does a chicken coop have two doors?
Because if it had four doors, it would be a chicken sedan.
I'm STILL laughing about that one.
· Also nifty little thing from

· Also, got The Flu today. And TB and The Plague.
I now have my very own Fluey*. YAY!
*Fluey, as seen on LNwCOB
Catching up
May. 14th, 2006 03:34 amSo, I haven't been around for a few days. Guess it's time to do some catching up.
Got my Yaoi from Paul. It's awesome.
If only I could read Japanese.
It's LOTR, based on the EE DVDs. It's called Vardarianna 3. It starts when they get to Lothlorien. Legolas and Haldir are talking at the begining. Then they start gettin it on. Meanwhile Aragorn and Boramir are talking by the tree. Some flasbacks of Arwen and Aragorn. Legolas and Boramir meet up and kiss. Next thing you know, Boramir has just been found by Aragorn and Legolas after being hit by the arrows. Has his little dying scene. And it ends with Legolas talking as Boramir is sent over the waterfall.
At least, that's what I get from the pictures without being able to understand a single word of it.
And I know I said that I'd get a picture of the cover (Which brother was wrong about. It's Boramir, Legolas and Haldir) and maybe some bits of the inside, but the artist asked in the book and on his (?) website that it not be reproduced and placed on any websites. And simply because of the nature of Doujinshi, I feel compelled to respect those wishes. But if you really want a look, I can always email you a pic or two if you want. Just ask.
Computer update: Seems that since Dad's memory went bad, Clayton replaced it with one he had. It's apparently (do I EVER spell that right? How IS it spelled?) not the right size for the board. That's the reason for the freezing and need to restart. Oh. And since we got it back, the mouse has decided not to work properly. Sometimes the left-click button doesn't work. It's really annoying.
Not much else going on. I have a headache. kinda. It was worse yesterday. I think it was mostly from a lack of sleep Thursday night. I didn't sleep at all that night. My sinuses are a little better. Still draining and causing me to cough occasionally, but I can usually breathe fine.
And is it EVER going to warm up again? It's the middle of May for Christ's sake! This 50-something, cloudy, rainy weather is going to be the death of me! Where's that unseasonable warmth Al Gore was talking about on SNL tonight? Unseasonable warmth? HA! Maybe for the lucky schmucks in NYC, but certainly not around here! Back me up on this, Midwesterners that are freezing your patooties off lately. I should NOT be wearing sweat pants and still have goose bumps in the middle of the day at this time of the year.
Unfortunaltely the fan is still crap and anytime I try to watch a clip of anything it overheats and I have to restart. I hate this piece of crap.
Not feeling the greatest today. Sinuses draining, which is making me cough. And I couldn't sleep very well last night. I think I need a nap. Also, my knees and ankle are really stiff and a bit swollen. Stupid weather. At least my back is feeling better. Only a couple small tight spots and the one pinched nerve.
Can't wait to go to BG tomorrow so I can get my Yaoi and watch this weeks epi of Big Love. YAY!
I think that's about it for now. Got a little more catching up and then it's nap time. Gotta make sure I'm up in time for Scrubs, SVU And the first show of Late Night from Chicago. I still can't believe Conana is SOO close to me and I have no way to see him! WAH!
