I just made some yummy Eggplant Parm for dinner tonight. A couple days ago my grandma brought over 4 small Chinese eggplants (the long skinny ones). I couldn't do a stuffed eggplant parm like I wanted, nor a layered one like a lot of people do. The pieces were so small I had to mix the sauce and cheese in, kind of like baked ziti. It was still pretty yummy.

OH! This morning (Monday morning, I guess) there was a fire at brother's work! I guess, one of their machines broke down and one of the guys went into the house (their office is in an old farmhouse on the property) to pee and came back telling a manager he smelled smoke. He went and checked it out and came back in yelling "THE BARN'S ON FIRE!". (on a lighter note: one of the guys thought he said "A BIRD'S ON FIRE!" LOL) They went out to try and put it out while 3 different guys called 911. Luckily it was just the barn where they store boxes and bags and things, so it wasn't really TOO big a loss. They got to come home early. I keep joking with brother that he started it so he could come home and take a nap, since that's what he did. They aren't sure what started it, but the workers are pretty sure it was the garage door motor b/c before the fire departments got there the door came slamming down on it's own. They go back tomorrow, so only one lost day of work. Here's a vid from the 6 o'clock news:

First off, they (Neal and Clayton) were being mean jerks again the other day.  Nearly called the cops on Neal and pressed charges on him.  Decided not to.  I might next time though.  Maybe then he'll learn to be nice to me.  I mean, I DID save his life when he was a baby (and I was only 6).  You'd think he'd be greatful and be nice to me.  I mean, if it weren't for me, he'd be dead.  Whatever.

But I guess I ultimitely decided to be nice to Neal because he just got into an accident on the 17th.  He flipped his 4-wheeler over and ripped his hand open pretty bad.  He nearly ripped his palm off all the way.  He was in the hospital until the 21st.

Oh!  I just got the newest pics of my boys!  Those of you that I talk to often know that they're actually my little cousins, but I helped raise the twins during their first year of life, so as far as I'm concerned, they're my boys, too.  Anyway, just got the newest pics of them.  Man, they are freakin' ADORABLE!

Aren't they the cutest? )

Oh.  And chapter 4 is almost done.  Just a little bit more.

I may be going to Chicago at the end of October.  If I get a job soon.  And if I do get to go, I really need to see if I can meet up with any of my fellow VFBers or Urbies.  And I'm hoping that if I DO get out to Idaho in June (at least that's the tentative date for now), that I can drag my dad and little brother and Grandpa all the way to Oregon to see Anita.  I'm trying my darndest.  We'd also be able to see my aunt that we haven't seen in a long time, so  that's the angle I'm playing.

And speaking of Anita, I can't believe it!  I FINALLY get to be online again and she's sick!  What kind of luck is that?  That totally sucks!

Well, I guess that's it for now.  Talk to y'all later!

First off, when one of them (Neal.  He's the BAD one.  The gun incident...) came home he ate a Honey Bun and decided that MY FACE was the perfect place to put the wrapper.  He's such a CHILD!  Whatever.  Not a big deal, but annoying anyway.

Then one of them (Paul{y}), I asked him if he'd keep my photobucket accts upgraded for me since I STILL haven't found a job.  I borrowed a phone from someone and called him and the phone went dead a couple times before I got the question out.  Then I got it all out and it cut out.  So I called back to get his answer.  HE F*CKING IGNORED ME WHEN I CALLED BACK!  WTF?  Like $18 is gonna kill him?  He knows that as soon as I get the money I'll get it to him.  I'v paid him back money that he FORGOT he had loaned me before.  So what's his problem now?  I mean, COME ON!  $18!!  It's not like I'm asking for $1800!

At least ONE of them (Clayton {Iggy}) was nice to me.  (WHAT?  And he's even the one that's usually a little annoying at least.)  He snapped a couple pics I've been needing for me.  And then he let me watch Bourne Supremecy.  I have only ONE word to describe Kirill... GUH! Talk about THUD-worthy!  And Karl speaking Russian.  YUMMY!  Unfortunately I don't think I'll be watching it again anytime soon, since I HATE Matt Damon with a PASSION!  Almost as much as I hate Tom Cruise.  And if you know me AT ALL, you know that's pretty bad...

Then, Neal and his friend decided to watch movies in the living room (read:I sleep on the couch) while I was upstairs in Clayton's room watching BS (hehe).  Well, they fell asleep, so I've been up ALL NIGHT, 'caus I've had no place to go to sleep.  So it's either sleep all day, or DON'T sleep at all today.  What to do...

Speaking of Kirill...I'm serious, Anita.  We need to write that Kirill movie.  And since we'll be the screen-writers, we'll HAVE to be there for the *CRUCIAL* scenes.  **wink, wink** *g*.

And, yes, Anita, I'm working on Chapter 2 right now.

Okay, I just noticed something.  Lately, like the last few months, I've been capitalizing whole words a LOT.  I have BOLD and ITALIC buttons right in front of me, but I go through the trouble of capitalizing.  I think I spend too much time chatting with Anita.

ETA: Oh, yeah! But at least I finally got around to making my new siggie!

WHY??

Why does all the bad stuff always have to happen at once?  The last couple days have freakin' SUCKED!

First off, it was REALLY warm out the last couple days, so all the snow melted and has been causing a LOT of flooding in the area.  Well, near the rivers.  Luckily we're about 10 miles from the nearest part of the nearest river.  But our yard is still soup and the basement is flooded.  Good thing we don't ever go down there.  But, on the bright side, the well is actually full for a change.  So, at least the water doesn't smell as bad as it usually does.

Night before last I was cooking and I saw a mouse.  **shivers**  Now, anyone that's ever lived in an old farmhouse knows that you get mice from time to time, but this thing was, like, RIGHT THERE.  And I HATE mice.  ICK!  Took me a few hours to be able to even walk through the kitchen.  Now I'm going in there and warming things in the microwave, but I'm very wary.  And I;m going to make sure that I stay away from the cooking area for a couple hours around the time I saw him.  Aperently he likes to peek at my dad when he cooks.  So, no cooking or anything at that time of night.

So, anyway, my fever finally broke that night.  Woke up feeling alright.  So that was good.

And that night, it was VERY windy and it knocked the internet out.  Was out all that night, yesterday, last night and earlier today.  Finally came back on about 11am.

But then last night, I was arguing with my brother.  Well, more discussing... having a heated debate.  That sounds about right, yeah, heated debate.  Anyway, so we're 'debating' and I said something about his best friend having lived in the house for a couple months over this past summer.  And I said, playfully, like we always pick on him about this guy and him always being together, "What, you had to have your boyfriend close by?"  You know what the f*cker did??  He picked up the shotgun that he had been looking at earlier, walked over to me and swung it like he was playing major league baseball and my leg was the ball!  He hit me right where the leg bone connects to the knee...  OMG!  I thought he broke my leg!  He broke the stock off the gun.  I called my dad in to look at my leg, he didn't think it was broken.  But when he found out the gun was broken, he was not pleased.  Aperently they stopped making that particular gun in 1962-63.  Then my brother was all, like, "I can make a stock for it that looks just like that," except that he doesn't do wood-work, and "I'm sure you can buy a new one", but we know that he won't.  Anyway, he got ready and left pretty quickly after that.  If I had had a way to the hospital, I would have gone in, just to make sure there was nothing too wrong with my leg.  But I didn't, and I can walk on it, though it hurts like h*ll to do so.  And my whole leg is a little swollen and there's a MONSTER bruise forming where I got hit.

So, you see what I mean when I say the last couple days have SUCKED??  I need some cheering up...
