So, it's come to my attention that Ryan, who isn't yet 5, likes to make himself toast when he's hungry. That reminded me of when my little brother was about 5 or 6 and started making himself corn after school.

My mother never got tired of telling this story:

My brother once made himself a cheese sandwich. He took the entire package of kraft singles (back in the day before they started wrapping them individually) and put it between two slices of wonder bread and mayonnaise. He took one bite, had to chew forever, and put it down.

Mom cut away the bite and put the rest of the cheese back in the fridge.

My nephew ate a melted cheese sandwich... only problem is he never took the plastic off the cheese!
