More Than Words Can Say - Chapter 3

I told you I'd get it up the next time I was online.  Not much to this chapter.  It's just kind of a conecting chapter.  But Chapter 4 will make up for that.  I promise.

Anita kept her word and was at the same spot on the beach every morning, sometimes into the late afternoon.  Karl hadn’t show up for nearly a week and she was about to leave a bit early one day.  Karl crested the hill just as she was gathering her things.
“Going somewhere?”  Anita lifted her face to his voice and smiled.
“I didn’t think you were gonna show.  I was about to leave and get lunch.  Would you like to join me?”
“That would be great.  Yeah.”  After dropping her things at her hotel they drove into town.  After they ordered, Karl studied Anita for a moment.  “So, what brings you to New Zealand?”
“Celebrating.  I just graduated from UCLA.  After six years.  Some of my friends and I decided to take a trip.  When we were trying to decide where, I happened upon a travel mag while I was at my dentist’s office.  They were featuring New Zealand.  I knew that’s where I wanted to go.  So here we are.”
Karl chuckled.  “As easy as that?”
“Yeah, well, my parents are sorta paying for it,” she half mumbled under her breath.  He nodded.  “My dad’s a lawyer and my mom’s an interior designer.  Lots of money to be made in those professions.  Especially in L.A.  I’m an only child; they spoil me.”
“What did you go to school for?  Why’d it take six years?”
“I double majored in Journalism and Communications.  Plus I slacked off a little when I first started.  I just couldn’t stay away from the beach.”
“I know what you mean.  If I didn’t have work right now I’d be spending a lot of time on the beach.”  Anita thought about it and realized that it was a Wednesday.
“Hey… Why aren’t you working on a Wednesday?”
“I’m an actor.  I’m not on the schedule for today.”
“I go thousands of miles away from home and I still run into actors,” she laughed.
While they ate, they got to know each other some more.  They just clicked and they were getting along great.  When he took her back to the hotel, she asked he wanted to come up and hang out a little while.  He agreed and went up with her.

I'll try and get Chapter 4 up sometime tonight, but I can't promise anything.
