domino43: (Dean - Close-up)
Dad went with me to my appointment Tuesday b/c we were going to stop at the store on our way back. Also Connor went as well, b/c he asked and actually got ready in time. Probably not a great idea. When I was done we went back out to the car, where dad was napping and waiting, only to have a fire engine pull in right behind us. It had followed an ambulance to pick someone up. I don't know why, and when they found out they were at a Dr.s office, I don't know why they stayed. Anyway, they were there for half an hour. They finally left, so I went to start the car. Nothing. The battery was dead. So, after trying a couple more times, dad got out and opened the hood. You know, the international sign for 'my car isn't working. Please stop and help'. Of course, we were facing a divider and there was a car on one side. Someone else pulled in and looked at me as dad was pulling up the hood, but just went in. We sat there for another hour. A space opened up behind us, so dad pushed us back into it that way our hood was facing where people were reaching it. He went in to see if he could look up a number for someone to come give us a jump. While he was inside, some guy came and knocked on my window. He was an idiot.

Guy: "Do you only need a jump?"
Me, relieved, thinking he's going to help: "Yes."
Guy: "Well, if you go inside there's a security office. They'll call someone for you."
Me, knowing he's an idiot: "Someone already went in."

Honestly. I mean, we were in the parking lot of a CLINIC. Did he honestly think I had money for that? Anyway, dad called and said the cheapest person he could find was $35 for a jump. I'm sorry, but that's ridiculous. He said he was going to grab a hamburger for Connor, since it was lunchtime. He also wanted to see if there were any little shops nearby that may give us a jump for a couple bucks. He came back a few minutes later with some Burger King. He called Neal then to see if he'd come up and give us a jump. He said he had to get ready, but he would. A little later some family pulled in next to us and the guy said, as they got out, 'I wonder if they only need a jump'. He asked, we said yes, he gave us a jump while his wife and kid went inside. We had been sitting there for 2 hours waiting for a jump. That's not counting the half hour we waited for the fire engine to move.

What is wrong with people? If we had been in Bowling Green, we would have had help within a half an hour. At one point dad said if he had money, he'd rent a billboard and have it say, "Toledo: The most unfriendly town I've ever been to."

Also, Happy 74th Birthday, Dean Stockwell! TCM has been playing Dean Stockwell movies all day. All from when he was pretty young. I wish they'd played some from when he was a bit older, but they're still good movies none-the-less.

Okay, I had a bunch of random thoughts all done and ready to post, but Clayton's messing with the internet connection and he keeps screwing everything up.  I guess I'll just put up the random pics I had.

Only for another hour or so.  If I would have remembered to bring it with me, I have Chapter 3 done.  I PROMISE that I'll post it the next time I'm online!  And If I don't, Anita will probably find me and strangle me.  You can all be assured of that.

Been trying to catch up with the VFB and other stuff all day.  Slow going so far.  Had a nice chat with [livejournal.com profile] amyurban , [livejournal.com profile] kulover , and [livejournal.com profile] delphi509 .  Also had a nice VFB chat with Hermione, Viva and Laeriel.  Oh, and nanagrania.

No job yet, but two people in the house are now working, so things should get better around home soon.

OMG!  I have to tell someone about this, so you guys are getting subjected to it.  Alright, so my dad has been junking lately to make some money.  Well, he got an auctioneer he knows to give him a mobile home to tear apart and take in (along with some other things).  It's on the lot with a house that's going up for auction.  It looked like the people that had been living in the trailer had left in a hurry because their were, like family photos and stuff still there.  We just figured that they got kicked out and moved in a hurry.  Not really a big deal.  Well, he's got to go there and tear it apart.  He's been doing it on weekends when he has the chance to go.  Well, I went with him two saturdays ago to help.  He said something to me about how one weekend he and Clayton were working there after dark and he went out to the woods to pee and he happened to look at the house on his way back to the trailer and said it made him think of the "Amittyville Horror" house.  (It was a little creepy, because it wasn't finished being built yet and in the upstairs there was a VCR, or something plugged in and it gave off an eerie blue glow at night.)  Well, last weekend he came home and told me that he found out why things were left the way they were.  Apperently, the people living in the trailer were the ones building the house.  Apperently one day the wife went nuts and killed her husband (we figure she must have poisoned him or something b/c there's no blood on the carpets in the trailer.) and then went into the house and starved herself to death!  They didn't find her (and I'm guessing him either) until 2 days after she'd been dead.  Now is that creepy, or what?  I still shudder thinking about it.

And so, onto the "new love" part, since I'm sure that you're all curious.  No, I don't mean a real person, unfortunately.  I'm talking about a TV show.  Come on, you guys had to have seen that one coming.  Anyway, for about a week or so, I spent just about every waking moment I had watching all 5 seasons of Quantum Leap.  And I must admit that I developed quite a LARGE crush on one of the stars.  And, no, not Scott Bakula.  A mean Dean Stockwell.  During that week or so, all my lust circuits were on Al overload.  Every thought was on Al.  In fact, I even caught myself tearing up at the episodes that centered around Al.  I'm hopeless.  *sigh*  But there's supposed to be a QL (TV)film sometime in the future, so...YAY!  MORE AL!  Okay, I think my membership as an Urbanite and as a VFBer need to be revoked.  I can't believe I'm cheating on Viggo and Karl (and even George and Dhani Harrison *GASP*) with Dean Stockwell.  I need to be punished.  But you have to admit that Dean was quite the looker in his 20's, heck, even when he was on QL.

Okay, got em fixed now. (07/08/05)

Dean in his 20s. *whistle* *wolf howl* Yuuuu-mmy! )

Alright.  I think that's a good enough update for now.  Hope to be online again soon.  And Chapter 3 is on it's way.  I PROMISE!

Talk to y'all soon.  I hope.

Hugs and kisses - Dom
