So I think I had the most boring birthday I've ever had this year. Totally uneventful day. Although dad did bring home a cake when he finally got home about midnight. It was a tasty cake. Chocolate with Bavarian filling. What is that stuff anyway? Custard? Whatever it was, it was good.
Got a card from
amyurban on Saturday. Thank you! Got a call from mom at brother's today. She called hoping I would be here. I was. Said she sent my card Monday. She forgot until the last minute. Just like last year. And she wonders why I think she doesn't like me.
Still trying to get brother to take me to see EP. He's not buying into my assurances that he wants to see naked Viggo. Oh, well. It was worth a try.
Dad didn't take me to the grand opening of the new chinese place yesterday like he wanted to. As I previously stated, he was working until late and didn't have the extra money. I'm sure he'll take me Friday when he has the money. I hope. Like I said last time, I've been craving chinese for months. Right now it's so bad that I think, given the choice between chinese and EP, I'd choose chinese. Yes, food over nakeed Viggo. Pretty bad, huh?
Enough of the most boring birthday ever. On to other 'news'.
Watching my Boca Juniors play San Lorenzo right now. Since it's live, I'd like to think that Viggo is watching the game as well. In fact, when I saw that the game was going to be on while I was here I actually squeed. Fists shaking quickly motion included. I was a regular fangirly.
I hate when two of my teams play each other. I don't know who to root for. Boca is my real favorite, so I obviously want them to win. But then, when San Lorenzo does well I cheer, but immediatly feel bad that I wanted them to score on Boca. The same applies for my other sports teams as well. Argentine soccer: Boca Juniors, San Lorenzo, Racing Club; Hockey: Red Wings, Blackhawks, Hurricanes; American football: Lions, Cowboys, Steelers. Luckily, I don't really watch football much. And luckily I only have one other soccer team: Liverpool FC.
Also, I don't know if anyone else sings commercial ditties like I do, but recently I've been [04:15pm - quick break in: Boca just scored!] infatuated with the new sweater commercial from Old Navy. If you don't know what I'm talking about, it's this one:
That song has me mesmerized. It's haunting me. The song gets stuck in my head and won't come out. It's perpetually playing in my brain. Whenever the comercial comes on I sing it. I can't change the channel. Today I finally remembered to look the song up. "The Way I Am" by Ingrid Michaelson if anyone is wondering. I have to remember to DL it when I get the net back.
Well, there was something else I was going to say, but I don't remember what it was.
