I guess it's about time for more.
Chapter 20
Anita was awoken by a soft kiss on her cheek. She stirred, her eyes fluttering open. It was still dark out and Karl was standing over her. “What time is it?”
“It’s 5am. I’m off to work. Go back to sleep, luv.” He kissed her cheek again.
She watched him find his way to the door in the darkness. She stopped him in the doorway with her question. “What time do you expect to be back?”
“Probably about the same time as last night. Are you going to be here? Are you staying over again?”
“I’m still not sure if I’m staying, but I’ll be here when you get home.”
“Okay.” She couldn’t see him, but for a silhouette against the light from the hall, but he smiled at her anyway. “Go back to sleep. I’ll see you tonight.”

After a long talk with her friends, Anita decided that she would stay with Karl until they left for home. She got her bags and took them back to his house. She spent the day with her friends and got back shortly before Karl did. He was pleasantly surprised to find her and her bags there when he got home. He had picked up dinner for them, since she’d said she would be there when he got home.
Friday went much the same as Thursday had. Karl left for work early, and Anita spent the day with her friends. They only spent half the day out, since they all wanted to make sure they were packed and ready to go, seeing as they had to be at the airport by 4:30am. Karl came home a bit early with a surprise.
He came in and found her in the living room, reading quietly. “Good evening, luv.” He gave her a peck on the cheek. “What do you say to dinner out tonight?”
“That would be nice. Do I need to change or anything?”
He looked her up and down. “Not at all. They won’t care where we’re going. Come on. We should get going. You’ve got an early day tomorrow.”
After she slipped her shoes back on, Karl drove them to The Green Parrot. When Karl escorted her to the back of the room, she was surprised to see her friends and some of Karl’s co-stars. She turned to Karl, mouth hanging open happily. He smiled at her. “Surprise, babe. I thought an impromptu send-off party was in order.”
She threw her arms around him. “Thank you!” They joined everyone else and had a bit to eat and mingled for awhile before Anita and her friends had to leave so they could get at least a couple hours of sleep.

She and Karl should go back to his place and have a GOODBYE SHAG to END ALL goodbye SHAGS, know what I mean? Just a suggestion......
