Angelic Layer
Angelic Layer is a manga/anime written by Clamp (a collective of female writers) about a girl, Misaki Suzuhara, who moves to Tokyo to live with her aunt. She sees and hears people talking about a game "Angelic Layer". She meets Icchan, an eccentric man, who gets her one of the dolls. She atarts playing the game and actually gets really good at it. She makes a lot of friends because of Angelic Layer. It's just a fun show, especially Icchan. Plus, I have a little thing for Kaede and Sai as a yuri couple. It's all in my head, but I like the idea.
Chobits
Also written by Clamp, "Chobits" is a manga/anime that takes place in the Angelic Layer world and takes place 4 years later. In this world computers look like people. The series follows Hideki Motosuwa, a farm kid who goes to the city to go to a prep school (between high school and college, so he can get into college) and learns of PersaComs. He finds a perscom in the trash and takes it home. When he finally figures out how to turn it on, all she can say is "chii". The story is about hideki learning about persacoms and he and Chii finding out all about her past. It's too complicated to explain here. I also have a thing for Hideki and Shinbo Hiromu, his classmate and owner of Sumomo, as a couple. ^_^
manga
Manga are Japanese graphic novels. Some of my favories are Angelic Layer, Wish, heck, everything I've read by Clamp, Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad, Gunslinger Girl... I like to read them the correct way, right to left, back to front.
Movie Musicals
Who doesn't love a good movie musical? 1776, South Pacific, Pirates of Penzance, anything Gene Kelly... Truthfully, I wish LIFE were a movie musical where people randomly broke out into choreographed songs. If only. *sigh*
Noir
Another anime. This one is about two female assassins. Mireille and Kirika. Kirika is a teenager who only remembers the word "noir" and the fact that she can kill easily. The show explores their pasts and they discover things about themselves all while taking their jobs.
Serial killers
I'm just fascinated by the psyche of the serial killer. I devour anything I can learn about them. It's amazing how screwed up they are and the things that go through their heads. And the different things that trigger them...Wow!
The Evil Puppy
hehehe. The Evil Puppy will eat your soul!! The evil puppy is from Late Night with Conan O'Brien. Not really a need to say anything else. I'll let the Evil Puppy say it all himself. *cue evil music*
