More Star Trek

I am having a Star Trek (TOS) Movie Marathon today. I am currently on The Wrath of Khan. This is the best Trek movie ever.

Tomorrow I'll be starting my TNG Marathon, which will promptly followed (or, rather, overlapped at the end) by DS9. Then the TNG movies. And finally NuTrek. I can't wait! It's going to take at least a month, but it will be epic and nerdy and just plain awesome. XD

I have to admit...I've only watched about one and a half episodes of TOS. =| And the only movie I've seen from them is (not sure on the number) the one where they resurrect Spock. (I was 'raised' on TNG but absolutely love DS9 as well after discovering it as a young teen.)

Would it be worth it for me to watch a few eps from it, and what would you recommend? :O

Also, I just love that you're doing such an amazing journey. xD

I was a couple eps into TOS when I decided to marathon it. That, naturally, led to the idea to marathon all of them. And then I figured, well, I might as well add the movies in.

I almost included The Animated series, but decided against it since it's generally not considered canon, though many elements found their way into canon.

That would be Star Trek III: The Search for Spock. It takes place right after STII: The Wrath Of Khan, which is the best Trek movie ever made.

I think you should watch a few episodes, but then, I think TOS is pretty much the greatest show ever made, so I may be biased. ;D

I don't know which ones to suggest, but some of my favorites are: "Naked Time", "Tomorrow is Yesterday", "Space Seed" (The origins of Khan from the 2nd movie), "The City on the Edge of Forever", "Amok Time", "Mirror, Mirror", "Journey to Babel", "The Deadly Years", "The Trouble With Tribbles" (Definitely a must! The ep "Trials and Tribble-ations" is based on.), "A Piece of the Action", "Patterns of Force", and "Plato's Stepchildren" (which is often credited with the first inter-racial kiss on (American) television).

Enjoy! TNG is my favourite Star Trek franchise and one of my favourite programmes of all time :)

And now I want to go and watch First Contact.

I must admit, I have yet to see First Contact. Oh well, I'll see it when I get to the TNG movies.
