I know it's not an Ornamental pear. Grandma used to make pies and Fruit Pizza and stuff with the pears when I was younger. I know they're regular pears. And we do have another pear tree (I think this one is Asian, since they look just like the "Asian Pears" you get in the store) but it doesn't have thorns.

And I know they're thorns. I got stabbed and scratched when I was picking pears last year.
