It's not that I give them power over me. I have no money and really no way to get/make any, therefore I can't do anything that requires money. And since Dad's transmission just went out and he has no car I would need brother to take me where I wanted/needed to go. Since she won't let him go anywhere (besides work) without her, that's kind of out of the question as well.

Dad plans on taking off for a week or two in the spring and pretty much offered to take me along, so if that pans out, I'll do that.
