I had my SSI Disability hearing yesterday. I won. The judge said that I'll get a letter in a couple weeks. I imagine I'll get my first check in January. Now I'll be able to get medical. YAY. And I'll be able to pay for my medicine. YAY. Things will be so much easier starting next year. Maybe now I'll be able to go visit some of my C_U BBs! And some of my old Viggo buddies. YAY!

And now I can concentrate on my surgery.

I FINALLY finished "More Than Words Can Say"! I know. So, if you have never read it, or if you want to refresh your memory on what happened previously, you can find those chapters right here:

I got the green ones.

I had $54 in my Amazon account, so I decided that I needed some shoes that weren't steel toed work boots. I originally wanted some blue and yellow sneakers to silently show my love for Boca Juniors, but the pair I had really wanted wasn't available anymore and most of the other ones that were close were either more than $54, or were very close. Since I couldn't get my blue & yellow sneakers, I then decided on some skate shoes. I had a pair of skate shoes several years ago and I loved them. I had some blue and/or teal-ish shoes I really liked. While going through different blu shoes I stumbled on these. I know Puma is a good brand and I as also considering some high tops, so these were pretty much exactly what I was looking for. Luckily for me Endless is currently running a 20% off athletic shoes special, so I got a pair of $42 shoes for $33.

They shipped today and are supposed to be here Thursday. I can't wait. XD

Pauly and Corie brought it over from the house for me. I can't wait to sleep on it tonight.

Now, I have a question for you guys.

Should I stay here? Like, move in here? Corie suggested it a couple weeks back. So should I? It would make things easier. There's a car here. And a phone. And the internet. And no Neal. (Remember him? He's the one that bashed my leg with a shotgun butt and dented the bone.) Neal and his GF are living at the house now. I like her fine (much better than his ex-wife), but he's still kind of an a-hole. Part of me wants to go back to the house because then I'd have a big room to myself. I have less room here, but I have all that other stuff. Everyday, a little more of me says to stay here. I'm about 70-30 for here right now. Should I go ahead and have Pauly go pick up the rest of my stuff sometime, or hold of a little longer?

My keyboard works again. It was just some loose solder that my brother accidentally wiggled loose when he changed the power supply.

My old memory in my computer was going bad. Like, I could only run 1 program at a time. And if I started my browser, it would lock up after a few minutes, depending on the site. It was 10 years old, after all. Well, I ordered a 1GB memory a week and a half ago and it finally came today. I put it in, or rather had my brother put it in, a little bit ago. I can use my computer again! YAY! I can now use the internet on my own computer. Maybe I'll be able to start keeping up on LJ again. I've fallen behind since the first of the year.

I typed this all out last night, but the stupid videos on Photobucket broke my code, so I had to go type it all out again. Hopefully it works this time.
May 21, 2010 is the best night of my life so far. Not that it started out that way, though. I need to start a few days earlier, though. On Wednesday, my Grandma and Uncle (step-grandpa) were going up to Mom's house to take her some stuff they had picked up for her. Since they were going up and my brother Austin was going to have to come pick me up for the show, my Mom had the idea to try and get my Grandma to bring me up. She called her and set it up and then I got a call to be ready b/c my Uncle would be here to pick me up in about an hour. So, I gathered up a couple of changes of clothes and my meds and books and got dressed. Uncle came to pick me up and we went to their house and switched to the car to drive up to Michigan. I stayed up there until we left for the show Friday evening. I got the entire house to myself on Thursday b/c both Mom and David had to work, like ALL day.

So, Friday evening when we left, it had just started raining. It was POURING by the time we got to East Lansing. I had to spend the only cash I had on parking. And most of it was supposed to be for an "I'm With CoCo" wristband. Austin let me out in front of The Breslin Center, but they didn't have Gate A open, so I had to hobble as quickly as I could around the side to Gate B. Needless to say, by the time I got there I was SOAKED. My entire shirt and the whole back of my pants. Of course, I had no jacket. But even the people with umbrellas were pretty soaked. The doors opened just as I walked up there, which was actually about 15-20 minutes late. So, we get inside and find our section. When Austin got the tickets from his friend, he found out his friend was mistaken and it wasn't 8th row, but 8th row in section 109. Luckily, section 109, row 8 was really close to the floor, about halfway back from the stage, so we still had pretty good seats. We were going to go to the seats and Austin was going to go back up to the merch table and get himself a shirt and my wristband, but then he realized that he'd left his wallet in the car. It was a while until showtime, so he figured he'd go out to the car and get it. Well, he went and even got a smoking pass, but the woman wouldn't let him go out. So, I didn't get my wristband. :( I was just going to order it off the Team Coco webstore, but the shipping is more than the band! A wristband that would have cost me $5 at the show would cost me almost $13 off the site. Conan, you know I love you, but I am NOT paying that much money for a rubber band. A flat-rate shipping envelope/box costs less than $5, how is shipping almost $8?

Anyway, we were disappointed, but we were still at the show, so it wasn't too big a deal. The show started a bit late, seeing as the doors opened late, but I was watching the stage, seeing who I could see on the edge. I was watching for Bley coming out onstage to take pics. At one point I noticed Mike Sweeney come out on the floor and head to the back to talk to the sound/light guys, so I had Austin get a pic of him. Jeff Ross also came out and he got a couple pics of him, but I couldn't find them on the card. :( Of course, he got Bley.

The rest cut for length and massive amounts of large pics. :) )

And that is my Legally Prohibited Tour report. It was a great show, much fun was had.

Oh, yeah. More Pics and some vids on my Photobucket.

They went to order my fiestadas today. They actually got to bring a box home today b/c they had one in stock. 96 fiestadas. Well, 90. I had 3 and traded them 3 for 3 pizzas. We're also gonna trade a couple dozen pizzas for fiestadas. You have no idea how excited I am.

And for those of you that don't know fiestadas, I found this article.
domino43: (Anchors Aweigh - O Rly?)
Two weeks from yesterday, actually, until they're off to Chicago. They're going to go order my fiestadas tomorrow morning, too. And they're picking up a box of their own and a box of pizzas. I know what the kids are eating a lot of while they're gone. LOL. I'll easily have a dozen of my fiestadas one by the time they get back. That's okay, each box has 8 dozen. I'll be feasting on fiestadas for a while, me thinks.

And I'm so bad. I had a handful of pretzels and a banana split for dinner tonight. It's no wonder I'm fat. LOL.

I was surfing YouTube and stumbled on these guys. I almost forgot about them! I haven't thought about them in a LONG time! I used to watch their Saturday morning show on CBS when I was 11. If you've seen Toy Story 2, they sang "Woody's Round-up". I miss them so much! I know what I'm going to be watching on YouTube all day tomorrow. This one has always been one of my favorite songs, too.

Riders in the Sky - How Does He Yodel

If you like it, check out "The Ballad of Palindrome". Hilarious.

They're going to be in Michigan in October. I should see if I can find a way.

I have just spent the last couple hours recapturing my youth playing an online version of "Oregon Trail". I used to LOVE playing that game in Elementary school. Why don't you have a play?

Westward Trail

*May I suggest picking carpenter for an occupation.
*Make that BANKER. And buy as much as you can.

[ETA]I think it's rigged. I played twice, Corie played twice and both times we both got snowed in and cannibalized our party. *raised eyebrow* [/ETA]

[ETA2]I finally won on game 3. Maybe because I took the Beatles with me? :p[/ETA2]

So, I got my tax return check on Monday and dad brought it to me yesterday morning.

It was only $52. I cashed it, bought lunch for everyone ($10) then went to Wal-mart and got some Ibuprofin, jellybeans, candy bars (1 for me, 1 for Corie), and some ice cream. I've got about $30 left. Brother talked to Corie on the phone while I was on my way home and wanted her to ask me about something we'd talked about. I'm glad he did. He wanted to know if I still wanted to go halfsies on a case of Fiestadas. Yum! So, I'll be giving him my money, or rather $28 sometime this weekend or so, so he can run to GFS and get a case of Fiestadas. I can't wait. I'll have 4 dozen all to myself. Although, I haven't had them in so long, I can almost guarantee they'll be all gone within two weeks. I'll be extremely surprised if I have any left after that.

Anyway, yeah, I'm super excited about Fiestadas.

Lame reason for excitement and an update, but so what. :p

Well, yesterday was much better than Sunday!

The place I donate plasma was having some special promotions, being Labor Day.  One was "Bed Bingo".  Every half hour they would draw a machine number and whoever was on that machine got a t-shirt.  Well, either the last draw or the next to last draw, was and empty bed.  When the woman went to draw again, she forgot to latch the door on the spinner and all the balls fell out.  One of the workers yelled out "Everyone wins!"  The Center Manager came out to see what happened and said that everyone could get a shirt.  So we all did.  It's a white t-shirt with the Biolife logo on it.

Then, everyone that donated got to spin a wheel for a chance at extra money.  I won $10!

Oh!  And and the forums are back!  No more withdrawl!!

Okay, so...not so busy.  Except for Monday and Tuesday.

Monday and Tuesday I helped dad pour cement for a porch thing for a friend of his. I bruised my leg pretty bad when we were spreading stone.
I was SOOOO tired when I got home Tuesday!

In addition to the books I read last week I've also read Dubliners by James Joyce and A Lesson Before Dying by Ernest J. Gaines.  I loved Dubliners.  It was kind f funny, as I was reading the other book, there was a chapter all about the main character hearing about and reading Dubliners.  Next I'm going to be re-reading some of my favorites.

Also, my brother gave me his car.  I have to get 30 day tags and then get a front-end alignment.  It's driveable, but it's really shakey.  A car of my own again.  YAY!

· Dad figured out why the comp was acting funny and freezing after we got it back from Clayton. Apparently the memory wasn't making good contact. He took it out and put it back in and it's been working great ever since.

· Got one of the movies I ordered, Anchors Aweigh, in the mail today. Should get On The Town tomorrow or Friday. Yes, I'm on a Gene Kelly kick again.

· Cute little joke my brother Paul told me last night that I absolutely loved.

Why does a chicken coop have two doors?

Because if it had four doors, it would be a chicken sedan.

I'm STILL laughing about that one.

· Also nifty little thing from [personal profile] carelessmemory:
Find a friend

· Also, got The Flu today. And TB and The Plague.

I now have my very own Fluey*.   YAY!

*Fluey, as seen on LNwCOB

I don't wanna go home!

I have no computer there. And my TV sucks.

But on a better note: Paul just called me from Chicago (I don't think he's left yet anyway) to tell me that he got me a Lord Of The Rings Yaoi. Woo-Hoo! He said that there's Aragorn, Legolas and some other blonde elf on the cover. He said there was nothing hardcore in it, but Aragorn and the other elf do kiss. So YAY! I can't believe it's gonna set me back $16.50 though! That's a lot of scratch for a comic book. I'll let you all know how it is. Maybe get some pics of it.

Just got to see Dhani Harrison's band's site. thenewno2

There's a couple short clips there under music. And if you go to visual, you can see their video "Choose What You're Watching". He's definitely got his dad's wicked sense of humoUr.

Dhani sounds just like George when he sings. I can't wait for an album! Iiiiiiii!
